Geofabrics® Geogrid™ Tritex™ is a high-performance, geocomposite incorporating a multi-axial geogrid engineered for soil stabilisation and ground improvement with Australian-made Bidim Green non-woven geotextile. Geogrid Tritex geocomposite delivers exceptional separation, filtration and stabilisation in one solution for road, rail and heavy-duty pavement applications.
The Geogrid is manufactured from a punched polypropylene sheet; it forms a unique hexagonal structure with triangular apertures that confine and interlock with aggregate. This interlocking mechanism creates a Mechanically Stabilised Layer (MSL) that improves load distribution, increases bearing capacity and enhances pavement performance on soft or variable ground conditions.

INSTALLING GEOGRID TRITEX GEOCOMPOSITE
Geogrid Tritex geocomposite is relatively simple to handle and install on site, providing an efficient solution for stabilising soil and improving ground condition with drainage and filtration capabilities - all in one product. It can be rolled out directly over subgrade after removal of protrusions.

Function
Filtration
Geosynthetics can act as a filter by allowing water to move freely through while preventing the migration of fine particles. Often used to prevent soils from migrating into drainage aggregate or pipes while maintaining flow. Can also prevent soil erosion in coastal and riverbanks when used below loose stones or rocks and other material.
Separation
Geosynthetics can be used to prevent the intermixing of soil types of different sizes in the construction of roads, railways, and embankments where the ground is soft and unstable to maintain the integrity of each material while allowing free passage of liquids or gases. Using a layer of geotextile to separate the soft ground from the fill material reduces the amount of fill required, increases the lifespan of the road or rail structure and cuts long-term maintenance costs.
Stabilisation
Improvement of the mechanical behaviour of an unbound granular material by including one or more geosynthetic layers such that deformation under applied loads is reduced by minimising movement of the unbound granular material. Stabilisation geosynthetics are predominantly applicable to the improved performance of bases and subbases of trafficked areas such as roadways, railways, airfields, and working platforms.
